The Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe’s police department, jointly staffed by its own officers and through a cooperative agreement with the City of Prescott, provides police protection on the reservation. The Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police force consists of eight officers who respond to members through calls made to the emergency response system or on regular patrols

Following the implementation of a joint agreement between both tribal and city enforcement agencies, the reservation’s already low crime rate has decreased even further.

Fire protection is provided through the Tribe’s fees paid to the City of Prescott’s fire department. The agreement was made with the city in 2001.
